  • A lodging tax will be introduced in Hokkaido from April 1, 2026.

    The accommodation tax in Hokkaido will be used to enhance the added value of tourism, improve and strengthen the system for receiving tourists, and implement measures to respond to crises in the tourism sector such as natural disasters.

    If the accommodation fee is less than 20,000 yen per person, 100 yen
    Accommodation charges per person between 20,000 yen and 50,000 yen → 200 yen
    Accommodation fee per person: 50,000 yen or more → 500 yen
    *Even if you make a reservation before April 1, 2026, the accommodation tax will be levied on stays from April 1 onwards.
    The above Hokkaido accommodation tax and Noboribetsu City hot spring tax will be charged at check-out.
  • We asked members of the CG Designer Department of Nippon Kogakuin Hokkaido College to create the "Karurusu Onsen Walking Map"

    Nippon Kogakuin Hokkaido College located in Satsunai-cho, Noboribetsu City.
    For the past two years, I have been working with students from the CG Designer Department and the Architecture Department about urban development in Karurusu Onsen
    We have undertaken various initiatives.
    Last year, we worked to update area signboards that had been installed for over 30 years.
    Students from the CG designer department worked in several groups to design it, and after repeated revisions, it was completed this year.
    It was installed on February 29, 2024 as a walking map signboard at Keifuen Park in Karurusu Onsen.
